contact@accessibleGO.comHi - I use a foldable, lightweight (45 lbs) powered wheelchair. I’m planning a trip to Spain in September and my greatest anxiety when traveling is damage to my wheelchair. I wanted to get information on places that rent powered wheelchairs in Spain - preferably foldable ones. That way, worst case, we can fold the chair and put it in the trunk of a rental car or taxi.
I can still transfer in and out of the chair and can still walk very short distances but definitely need the chair for any extensive walking.
Thanks!

Any suggestions?

These are all the stops our Viking cruise makes July 22- July 31 2024.

Hi - we are planning a trip to Barcelona this mid Sept (or late August). We’ve traveled internationally extensively before but it’ll be our first trip to Spain and our first international trip since I was disabled.
I can walk short distances with 2 canes or a rollator but can’t do steps/stairs. I will likely be using a powered wheelchair for the most part. My husband is able-bodied. We are thinking of combining Barcelona with either Madrid or Sevilla.
- Wanted to get info/insights on using the train to/from these cities and/or using the train within Spain, in general?
- What’s a good amount of time to spend in Barcelona - ie how many full days - considering that I am a disabled traveler who will take more time than usual in doing anything!
Thanks!
